Watch Improve Your DSLR Focus Accuracy on YouTube

DSLR camera autofocus is one of those mythical (or magical) things in a camera that makes our lives soooo much nicer when creating photographs. The major parts of a photo are focus, exposure and composition. If you don't have your focus perfect the other parts don't matter. In this video I go over my recommended settings for your digital SLR and give a bunch of tips for improving your autofocus accuracy. Also check out my previous videos on DSLR Autofocus and How to use VR/OS/IS for more info. Keep shooting!

Another great video, Greg. Nuts and bolts to great photography that I never thought or read in a book. I was always told to focus and recompose and even seen professionals do it. Choosing the best focus point makes more sense.

Thanks for another great video. How about shooting landscapes, I know to set in AF-S but which area; single, dynamic or auto?

I don't see how the weight of the lens is an issue with focus...Anyway if you have an older body that lens can be slow. Consider upgrading your body or the 80-200 to a 70-200 2.8.

You mentioned a book called the Outliers. Is that correct? Who is the author and is that the exact title?
